The top two corners of the map

You know, I often wish Mitch Hedberg were still around. I think about it pretty frequently. There are the times I mumble some idiotic thing and have to repeat myself, even though it was a stupid thing to say in the first place and saying it twice makes it sound even dumber. There are the times when I dial phone numbers with a lot of twos in them, or pass by the dry cleaners’ in the middle of the night. And then there are the times when I’m doing so much traveling that I start to wonder if I need a friend to come over and help me stay put.

That’s what this summer is like. A lot of traveling. Going down here to see family, over there to a wedding, one state over for god-knows-what and it’s worth it because it’s always fun. It makes each weekend seem like it’s flown by at the speed of sound, but also like it’s been the weekend for so long that I can scarcely remember what life was like before I left. It’s wonderful to be busy. And summer is the time to do it… as long as the destination has a pool.

In honor of my globetrotting, and all the vacations and holidays I hope everyone is getting to take this summer, I’d like to share my first Etsy treasury full of lovely handcrafted items.
