Hey, guess what? The new Beehive is open!

The Beehive has just relocated from Buckhead to the Edgewood shopping plaza, near Little Five Points in Atlanta. The new shop is huge and beautiful and officially opens on Friday the 16th. Of course, it’s actually already open to locals and passersby, so if you’re in the area you can be among the first to check it out. Or, if you’re free on Friday night, you can come by the party!

Want a preview? Here are a couple of pictures I took of the new space last week, while everyone was just getting set up. I hope I don’t get in trouble for sharing these, but I’m excited about the opening and I can’t think straight.

The mannequins in the window were still naked when I took these, but are almost certainly dressed by now.

There’s a big classroom/workspace in the back, and proper dressing rooms and everything. And more vendors. Lots more. All local and independent, just like in the Buckhead store.

Oh, and I put together a new display for Gangbusters for the new location, using a thrifted picture frame and some “window markers” (I have no idea what they’re for) that some friends found at a garage sale. What do you think?
